Troubleshooting website analysis
Understand website-analysis errors and continue safely with manual entry without losing the opportunity flow.
Website analysis is a convenience for drafting your opportunity. It is not required to post, and an analysis problem should never prevent you from continuing.
Common causes
- The domain does not resolve or was entered incorrectly.
- The website is temporarily unavailable or returns an error page.
- Bot protection blocks automated analysis.
- The address points to a private, local, or unsupported destination.
- The page contains too little public text to produce a useful draft.
What to do
- Check the spelling and include the correct domain.
- Retry once if the website is normally public.
- If the same fetch problem repeats, choose Continue manually.
- Add the company, product, buyer, commission, industry, and territory information yourself.
- Review every field before activation. Nothing is published automatically.
What the customer sees
The customer sees a plain-language explanation and a manual-entry button. Internal codes such as DNS or HTTP failure categories should not be shown as the primary message. The website address is retained where safe so the customer does not have to restart the funnel.
