Specific commercial inputs make it easier to distinguish a credible rep from a profile with only broad industry overlap.

The highest-impact details

  • Product: what the rep will sell and what makes it commercially different
  • Target buyer: the roles, account types, and buying environment
  • Territory: where you genuinely need coverage
  • Channel: direct, distributor, dealer, integrator, retail, or another route to market
  • Economics: commission range, recurrence, typical deal value, and time to earn
  • Proof and support: customer traction, sales materials, training, leads, implementation support, and fulfillment readiness

If you see few or no credible matches

  1. Check that the territory and industries are accurate rather than unnecessarily broad.
  2. Replace generic copy such as “experienced salesperson wanted” with the actual buyer and selling motion.
  3. Add adjacent experience you would genuinely accept.
  4. Reconsider whether the commission, sales cycle, or support makes the offer attractive to an established independent rep.
  5. Keep the listing active while the network continues to be reviewed.

A narrow market may legitimately have fewer credible profiles. Zilla does not guarantee a fixed shortlist size and should not fill the page with weak matches.

When to consider Managed Rep Launch

Use the separate managed service when you want Zilla to validate the reachable market, refine the pitch, conduct outreach, screen responses, and confirm interest before coordinating conversations. Campaigns begin with a fit review and are not accepted automatically.
